If you are reading this page, chances are you are a Pastor who loves your congregation. As Pastors, we are moved to love and provide pastoral care to our congregation based upon the love we ourselves have received from the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ.

John 15:13 teaches us:

“There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

That is precisely what every United States armed service member does on a daily basis. Some lay down their lives by serving far from country, home and family, while others lay down their literal lives in combat zones. It is the love of country, life, and liberty that lead many service members into dangerous service. For many others, it starts with their love of God and the blessings He has given them. These service members desire to honor these blessings by serving others far less fortunate. It is truly laying down their lives in service of “the least of these”.

Pastor, just for a minute, imagine if you walked up and down your church aisles one Sunday and asked this question of anyone in your congregation: “What is your job in the global war on terrorism?” What do you think the average reply would be? Most likely, the answer you would receive is something close to this: “Uh, I am not in the military or government. I don’t think I have a job in this area.”

But Pastor, you and I both know differently, don’t we? As shepherds of the sheep, we know that each and every church member DOES INDEED have a very special God-given duty in these trying times we live in. The Apostle Paul instructs us in 1 Timothy 2:1-2: “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”

The above command is directed to all believers, not only people in the military. We are living in very dangerous and uncertain times. There are wars and rumors of wars all around the world, as well as civilians being targeted and murdered by extremists within our own country’s borders. We’ve seen in recent times murderous attacks in our own American churches! There has never been a more pressing time for us as church leaders to teach and lead our congregations in prayer for our nation, our leaders, and each and every armed service member laying down their lives.

This is where Prayers for Patriots comes into your pastoral picture!

We minister in churches all over the nation, coming directly to you and your congregation. This is the very foundation of what our organization does. It is not all we do, by any means, but it is the foundation.

We bring a message to your staff and congregation that many of them have never heard before. We go through the Bible, teaching and explaining the Scriptures as it relates to praying for our patriots. We explain what, why, where, when and most importantly, HOW to pray for our patriots. Then we leave written materials with your church that give all of your membership the ongoing tools they will need to continue lifting up our nation’s patriots long after we have moved on to our next meeting.

Pastor, do you believe in the power of Scriptural prayer? Do you want to see more of your congregation spending time in prayer? Do you think educated, heart-felt prayer can make the world become a better and safer place for your children and grandchildren? Lastly, no matter your personal political positions, do you respect the heart-breaking sacrifices our armed service patriots are making on your behalf every day?

Reach out today and send the Prayers For Patriots team an invitation to come minister at your church!
